The GRAND decoder is a new approach to decoding in which the decoder guesses the most likely noise realization. Although it sounds counterintuitive, this is an

exciting new approach. Therefore, an initial investigation will be conducted.

Since this is a fairly new concept, this project is about implementing the GRAND decoder and getting first results and a better understanding of the overall concept,

focusing on the advantages and disadvantages of this approach.

In order to process this thesis, knowledge of the lectures Channel Coding, Advanced Channel Coding, Wireless Communications Technologies, Communication Technologies and

programming skills in Python or Matlab are essential.
